Removal of "Criticism" Section
  +
  +
I have removed the purported "criticism" section for mulitiple violations of Wikipedia policy:
  +
  +
(1) The section relies primarily on non-reliable sources, such as an apparent blog called "Homebrewedtheology." Also cited is Thinkprogess, a highly partisan left-wing site.
  +
  +
(2) The section violates the policy by giving undue emphasis to the alleged "critcism", which is essentially the author's POV.
  +
  +
(3) Although the section cites to some blogs which are maintained by ostensibly reliable sources (e.g., the Atlantic), the purpose is merely to give a one-sided account of left-of-center criticism. If this were a proper criteria, nearly every article on Wikipedia could have a similar "criticism" section, collecting the opinions (say) of right-wing blogs criticizing the subject of the article.NeutralityPersonified (talk) 14:03, 1 April 2011 (UTC)

LeVander was born in Swede Home, Nebraska (near Stromsburg, Polk County) and attended high school in Watertown, Minnesota. He graduated in 1932 from Gustavus Adolphus College, and then attended the University of Minnesota Law School. After graduation he worked as assistant county attorney for Dakota County, from 1935–1939. LeVander also worked for the law firm of Stassen & Ryan, located in South St. Paul, while teaching speech and coaching debate at Macalester College. He was also active in local commerce, acting as President of South Saint Paul's Chamber of Commerce from 1952 to 1954 and as President of the South Saint Paul United Federal Savings and Loan Association from 1953 until 1967. He was politically connected, having worked with future Governor (1939-43) Harold Stassen and future U.S. Representative (1935-41) Elmer Ryan in their law firm.

LeVander took the governorship in 1967, and for the first time since 1953, the Republicans held the governorship and both houses of the legislature: the Minnesota State Senate (45-22}, and the Minnesota House (93-42). During his term the first Minnesota sales tax was created. He favored "initiative and referendum" and vetoed two bills that did not contain it. He also created the Metropolitan Council, the state Pollution Control Agency, and the inaugural Human Rights Department. During his term, the legislature ratified the Twenty-sixth Amendment, which lowered the minimum voting age nationwide to eighteen.

In mathematics, Hensel's lemma, also known as Hensel's lifting lemma, named after Kurt Hensel, is a generic name for analogues for complete commutative rings (including p-adic fields in particular) of the Newton method for solving equations. Since p-adic analysis is in some ways simpler than real analysis, there are relatively neat criteria guaranteeing a root of a polynomial.

In mathematics, Hensel's lemma, also known as Hensel's lifting lemma, named after Kurt Hensel, is a result in modular arithmetic, stating that is a polynomial equation has a simple root modulo a prime number p, then this root corresponds to a unique root of the same equation modulo any higher power of p, which can be found by iteratively "lifting" the solution modulo successive powers of p. More generally it is used as a generic name for analogues for complete commutative rings (including p-adic fields in particular) of the Newton method for solving equations. Since p-adic analysis is in some ways simpler than real analysis, there are relatively neat criteria guaranteeing a root of a polynomial.

Later that day, in the second half of the Final Four loss to the Duke Blue Devils, Butler injured his left knee. Early reports are that Butler tore his ACL, sprained his MCL and sustained two bone bruises. He was driving hard to the basket and the knee appeared to give way as he planted on it, while Coach Huggins initially seemed convinced Butler was fouled on the play- that does not seem to be the cause of the injury.

The Eastern Roman Empire and the Byzantine Empire are the same entity, a discussion on where they begin or end is irrelevant to the naming. :Comment (1) On the Google "hits", per Ibladi (above): "As I said on the discussion page of Byzantine Empire, searches on Google Books like the ones above must be treated with suspicion. If you take a closer look at the sources you will see that many (most?) of the hits for "History of the Eastern Roman Empire": 740 hits are caused by the occurrence of the title of Bury's book "A History of the Eastern Roman Empire from the Fall of Irene to the Accession of Basil I." in texts that may or may not use the word "Byzantine". Iblardi (talk) 22:24, 15 May 2009 (UTC)" And of course, that book was written in the 1920s. (2) "Byzantine's" negative connotations are nowadays wholly disassociated from the academic and indeed popular use of "Byzantine" in the context of the empire. In other words, one can safely assume that in the modern world (whatever the Victorians felt) no one draws a negative conclusion about the empire because it is called "Byzantine". If you dropped a weighted 1 litre bottle or balloon of air into the sea above the Challenger Deep, by how much would it be compressed by when it eventually reached the seabed? After leaving it down there for a while to cool down, how close would this be to becoming liquid air? Thanks 92.15.8.176 (talk) 11:01, 1 April 2011 (UTC)
:What temperature was the air before you dropped it? I have assumed 300K. By my calculations, the density of air at Challenger Deep temp and pressure would be 1208x greater then that on the surface. Assuming your balloon can tolerate this change (a bottle would not), it should be .827 mL at the bottom. I don't know if this would make liquid air since I don't have the appropriate graph handy showing the state of air at the various temps and pressures. ::According to this, nitrogen cannot be liquified at temperatures above 147 degrees C, which is the critical temperature for that gas - as air is a mixture, things will be a little different but it suggests that the contents of the balloon (or squashable plastic bottle) will remain in a gaseous state. Since we're starting to see an edit-war over the use of the Monad as a symbol of Technocracy, I figured it should have its own section on the discussion page. Note, for example, that when one goes to many other pages for major political movements, there are pictures associated with the articles. They range from the anonymous "A" of Anarchism, to the flag of Italian Fascism on the Fascism page, to a picture of people stuffing ballots in a box on the Democracy page. In addition, many of those pages contain pictures of major intellectual figures in these movements, as well as symbols of political groups. Personally, I don't see why the Monad is any different, nor do I see why the fact that Technocracy, Inc., is organized as a non-profit corporation has anything to do with anything...since many political organizations are incorporated similarly. ::But why wouldn't symbology of the Bolshevik Party be welcome on the Marxism article? In that case, I would think there'd be plenty of different kinds of "representatives" of Marxism as a political reality, whereas, to my knowledge, Technocracy only has one major attempt so far. If nothing else, why not leave it, but with a disclaimer? New page

Julian Spalding (born 15 June 1947) is a British art critic and former curator. He grew up on a council estate in St Mary Cray, on the fringes of South London. My upbringing made me acutely aware of the inequalities unfairly imposed by class and wealth, and of the effects of cultural deprivation on people's lives.

He studied art history at Nottingham University and art at Nottingham Art College, and after a brief spell as an artist and designer he chose to work in museums and galleries. He started as an art assistant Leicester Museum and Art Gallery and then Durham Light Infantry Museum and Arts Centre and went on to hold a series of senior positions, as keeper and director at museums and galleries across the country and internationally Leicester Museum and Art Gallery

I worked in museums in . In 1989 I was appointed director of Glasgow Museums, responsible for twelve institutions, including Kelvingrove Art Gallery and the Burrell Collection - by far the largest local authority museum service in Britain, and bigger than most of the nationals. I enjoyed working for local authorities, and the opportunities this gave me to be responsive to local communities.

I established several award-winning, innovative galleries and museum services. These include the Ruskin Gallery in Sheffield, devoted to the teachings of John Ruskin, and in Glasgow, the St Mungo Museum of Religious Art and Life, the world's first public museum of comparative religion; the Gallery of Modern Art, a radical rethink of international modern art (ruthlessly reduced and conceptualised since my departure); and the Open Museum, a ground-breaking service which opens museum stores for community use.

Through trial and error I evolved new approaches for museums and galleries, to enable them to improve what they offer their public, a practical philosophy later outlined in my book The Poetic Museum (see Books).

However, my career was truncated before I had fully realised an exemplar poetic museum, which I planned to do by recreating the Victorian encyclopaedic museum in 21st century terms within Glasgow's Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum . In 1999 my post, along with the directorships of Libraries, Performing Arts, Recreation and Sport, was abolished by Glasgow City Council, and replaced by a leisure management system.

I spent a year as a researcher at the National Museum in Copenhagen, and I have over the years advised on museum development in several other countries, giving keynote addresses at museum and art gallery conferences in the USA, Canada, The Netherlands, Sweden and Russia.

In 2000, as Master of the Guild of St George (an educational charity established by John Ruskin), I established the nationwide and now international Campaign for Drawing, to raise awareness of the value of drawing in art, in education and in daily life.

As a broadcaster, I have been a regular contributor to Today, PM, Start the Week, Front Row and other programmes on BBC Radio 4, Radio 3 and Radio Scotland. I have also made programmes including a series of interviews with artists for Radio 3's Third Ear. My television appearances include a short film on the future of the British Museum which I wrote and presented for BBC 2's Newsnight, as well as numerous contributions to arts, news and current affairs programmes on the BBC and independent channels.

In 2001 I began to devote myself chiefly to writing.

Whiting's first major installation was in 1979 at The Hayward gallery in London, while he was tutoring at the Architectural Association. His Business Machine featured alongside work by Helen Chadwick and Genesis P-Orridge as part of the new contempories summer show there. Other shows of his animated figurative works followed, including: Purgatory at British museums, galleries and festivals; and Heavenly Bodies on the roof of the Royal National Theatre in 1981. He received International recognition in 1984 after his robot-like sculptures were featured dancing in the Herbie Hancock's Rockit music video directed by duo Godley & Creme, winning the first MTV Video Music Award for Best Art Direction. Hancock was later quoted as saying that Whiting's "pure kinetic art" was the art he'd most like to own.

Whiting's Mechanical Theatre was commissioned in 1987 by Andre Heller for his Luna Luna art/amusement park in Hamburg, along with installations and contributions by, among others, Salvador Dali, Jean Tinguely, Joseph Beuys, Sonia Delaunay, David Hockney, Roy Lichtenstein, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring and Kenny Scharf. From 1988 to 1992 he took his Unnatural Bodies show on tour, exhibiting in Cologne, Zürich, Berlin, Glasgow, Linz (Ars Electronica) and also as the Tower in London's Broadgate.

In 1994 he created a waggon installation for Klaus Littman's Arttrain, which was exhibited at stations in Switzerland, France and Germany along with work by Bernhard Luginbühl, Jean Tinguely, Daniel Spoerri and Ben Vautier.

His work has now been incorporated into his Bimbotown venue based in the Spinnerei (Leipziger Baumwollspinnerei), a former factory in Leipzig that now hosts cutting edge art in dozens of eclectic galleries and artists' studios. . Originally launched in 1993 in Basel, Bimbotown moved to Leipzig in 1996 where Whiting continues to host parties, which The Guardian newspaper recently described in a round up of the best of Germany as "a mix of music, theatre and lots of crazy stuff by artists from all over Europe".

In 2007 a new version of his Mechanical Theatre was commissioned for the Swarovski Kristallwelten (Crystal Worlds) theme park in Austria, which was conceived by Andre Heller and features work by famous modern artists. He continues to exhibit his installations in Europe, as well as collaborate on theatrical performances.

I would like to add that someone from the USHIP WEB SITE keeps REMOVING the FACTS I have been posting,WIKIPEDIA claims there web site is a place to post facts about anything well then why is the USHIP WEB SITE removing the facts I post. You people decide for yourself, go to ANY consumer web site and just put in the word "USHIP" and you can read about the hundreds of shippers that were wronged we will call it. OR go to GOOGLE and put in this PHRASE "Negative site:UShip.Com" Then you can read about the 205 THOUSAND posts that were all problems on USHIP
USHIP.COM is a web site that uses private carriers to transport items for people that either have sold or purchased them from someone or someplace other than local. The problem with the USHIP.com the web site itself doesn't check to make sure these carriers are LEGAL TRUCKING COMPANYS. What happens because of this the people that are shipping the items are open for disaster, because the trucking company is ILLEGAL that means your item if DAMAGED or STOLEN is lost because USHIP will not pay anything to replace your loss and the carrier has NO INSURANCE. They claim to be a third party and have nothing to do with the transaction even though you pay them some of the highest BROKER RATES in the country. If you would like to read about the thousands of people that have a loss from USHIP.COM go to this web site www.pissedconsumer.com and do a search for "USHIP" and read the horror stories. Then to read more go to www.Google.com and type in "USHIP SCAMS" for hundreds and hundreds of more horror stories. You can also go to www.twitter.com and also do a search for "USHIP" and again read about the people that have a loss. There are other consumer web sites you can check and everyone of them have NEGATIVE posts ALL from past shippers that have had a loss and in everyone USHIP did nothing to help the person with this loss. USHIP.COM will do everything they can to COVER UP the TRUTH so that the General Public cannot read about these horrible posts from past shippers themselves. Just to give you a short story, A woman's husband died and they lived in an RV in a Campground, after his passing she decided to move closer to friends and family so she placed her RV on the USHIP.COM web site to be moved. She had a Carrier win the bid to mover her RV for her and this is where the trouble started, the move was about 115 miles so this ILLEGAL NO INSURANCE USHIP CARRIER picks the RV UP. Off he goes down the road and after 10 miles he wrecks the RV and has to have it towed to a local towing yard, it was a TOTAL LOSS and the USHIP CARRIER is now in hiding and USHIP has removed any post about this when the poor woman ask others what she can do. (this only happened the 2nd week of march) Others from the USHIP.com web site tried to offer her information on what to do but USHIP REMOVED it because it would be not good for USHIP's business. To date this woman besides loosing her husband lost her home as well. This is just one of thousands of stories about what goes on the USHIP.COM web site, not to mention all the FELONS and CHILD MOLESTORS that they know are on the USHIP.COM web site and do nothing about. So the best thing to do is STAY AWAY from USHIP.COM and use another load shipping site or a local national mover. <span style="font-size: smaller;" class="autosigned">—Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.252.137.20 (talk) 11:13, 1 April 2011 (UTC)</span><!-- Template:UnsignedIP --> <!--Autosigned by SineBot-->

In music, a single or record single is a type of release, typically a recording of fewer tracks than an LP or a CD. This can be released for sale to the public in a variety of different formats. In most cases, the single is a song that is released separately from an album, but it can still appear on an album. Often, these are the most popular songs from albums that are released separately for promotional uses such as commercial radio airplay, and in other cases a recording released as a single does not appear on an album. 45 rpm records were played on a record player or turntable. You could play one at a time and change records manually after each record finished playing, or you could use the stacking spindle and stack up to six records to be played in succession. The use of the spindle led to the coined "Stack O Wax" term in the 1950s.

These factors, combined with the 10-inch (25&nbsp;cm) diameter of standard discs, thereby limited the duration of recording available on each side of a disc to around three minutes. These manufacturing limits in turn exerted a direct effect on the composition of music, as songwriters and performers increasingly tailored their output to fit the new medium. The 3-minute single remained the standard into the 1960s when the availability of microgroove recording and improved mastering techniques enabled recording artists to increase the duration of their recordings—The Beatles' 1968 7-minute single "Hey Jude" was a deliberate challenge to this long-standing 3-minute standard for pop singles.

Both the manga editorial vid and the anime series were released in Mexico twice in a quite accurate translation in Imevisión (what is now TV Azteca), which also aired almost complete versions of Saint Seiya, Senki, Candy Candy, Remi, Nobody's Girl, Card Captor Sakura and Detective Conan.
